“In 2010, I launched an individual multimedia creation project called La Fulminante, where I used my highly eroticised body as a weapon for alternative communication. In this process, I explored how the intersection of different codes could generate audiovisual content appealing to an audience uninterested in social struggles or political-activist criticism, employing viral dissemination strategies and post-pornographic elements.” – Nadia Granados

The four works by Nadia Granados presented in this programme, under her performance persona La Fulminante, activate three public spaces: Bogotá, Lima, and a tropical beach. Highlighting the waste and environmental impact of colonial capitalism, La Fulminante provokes passersby with unrestricted femininity, feigned innocence, and absurd actions. While exposing the hostility these spaces impose on gendered bodies, she sarcastically subverts the expected subaltern position of her characters, transforming them into disobedient and flamboyant subjects.
