Single-channel video

Like the Sun Erasing the Traces of Rain revisits video recordings made by the artist’s family in Kurdistan in 2002. The film deals with the contradiction between longing and demarcation, as well as borders that show themselves in spatiality and relationships. Themes of Kurdish identity, belonging and family, marginalisation and nationality are reflected and questioned from a personal perspective.
