Phase Change draws from the filmmaker’s upbringing amidst the fog and hills of San Francisco. The film uses modes of observation, collection, deconstruction, and recreation across both physical and digital realms, culminating with a synthesis of concrete and the intangible, and sublimating body with landscape. The filmmaker employs new media technology and the physical senses in the process of making and reflecting on place.
