A disenchanted conversation with oneself is the prologue to the short film Acts against Nature. The video starts as a brief and nonchalant exchange on identity politics. It culminates without reaching any conclusion, except maybe that no one gives a shit about French theory. We are left with a pending question: What’s really happening in Northern Norway? Acts against Nature is not shown in its entirety at EMAF. However, the film goes on to tell the tale of Norwegian fish farming and claims that salmon for sushi is not a Japanese tradition, but a marketing ploy. Indeed, there are great gains to be made from the adaptation of the biological material to market requirements.
