As part of a sound installation for the long diversion of the barrier-free entrance to the Gropius Bau Museum in Berlin, artist Janine Jembere conceived the audio work endurance as a form of encouragement. She asked friends, acquaintances, and museum employees with different linguistic backgrounds to send her phrases of support as audio messages. Without knowing the languages herself, she repeats the wishes she received. By vibrating her own vocal chords, she transmits the magical speech acts…
